Affordable & Convenient Counseling (ACC)

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Affordable & Convenient Counseling will provide specialized substance use outpatient services principally to adults (18 years or older) that have been referred through a DUI program, probation or other court order, determined to have an alcohol or other substance use problem. Self-referrals are also accepted if they are assessed to have a need for substance use treatment.

Each individual that meets admission criteria of the program will be given a physical health assessment and psychosocial assessment to determine the nature and severity of their substance use problem and the appropriate treatment plan.

Each individual will be provided with one counseling session each week. The duration of each counseling session shall be 90 minutes for group therapy, and the average length of stay in the program is three months. Individual therapy sessions are also available to individuals.

The goal of the program is to have our individuals successfully complete substance use treatment in order to be successful in future abstinence and avoid any future involvement in the criminal justice system, if applicable.

ACC will at all times operate under the standards and regulatory requirements of Chapter 65D-30 Substance Abuse Services, Florida Administrative Code and the laws of Chapter 397, Florida Statutes.
